Pathological Description: There is diffuse subperiosteal new bone covering the entire length of the shaft on the medial and lateral surfaces consisting of smooth striated subperiosteal new compact bone with overlaying isolated irregular islands of dense smooth compact bone. There are areas of subperiosteal woven bone with taphonomic damage on the distal 1/4 of the medial surface of the shaft and smaller areas of subperiosteal woven bone on the distal 1/4 of the lateral and posterior surfaces of the shaft.
