Pathological Description: Lateral surface- There is a thin layer of striated subperiosteal new compact bone on the distal 2/3 of the shaft. Medial surface- There is a thin layer of striated subperiosteal new compact bone on the distal 2/3 of the shaft. Posterior surface- There is a thin layer of subperiosteal new compact bone on the medial and lateral borders of the distal 1/2 of this surface. There are spicules of new bone at the distal ligamentous, muscle and interosseous membrane attachments.
