Pathological Description: Lateral surface- There is a layer of striated subperiosteal new compact bone on the distal 2/3 of the shaft with inflammatory pitting on the distal 1/2. Medial surface- There is a thin layer of striated subperiosteal new compact bone on the distal 1/4 of the shaft. Posterior surface- There is a thin layer of subperiosteal new compact bone on the medial and lateral borders of the distal 2/3 of the shaft and the whole of the distal 1/3 of this surface.
